WKU ACDA Student Chapter

The American Choral Directors Association is a pre-eminent trade organization for choral directors.  WKU has a student chapter of this organization.  Membership in the national organization earns you membership at the state and campus level, with all the benefits of each entity. Click the link above to become a national member. Students can do so for a greatly reduced annual rate.

Our campus chapter is an active chapter with 20+ members, and seeks to advance the growth of future choral music educators through a variety of activities, including hosting guest lecturers and campus events.   The WKU ACDA Student Chapter co-sponsors a number of events each year, including Hilltoppers Sing (a one-day tenor/bass festival), Sing Out! (a choral leadership event for high school students interested in music education), conducting masterclasses, and high school all-state audition preparation and honor choir help days.

Student members have the option to travel to regional or national conferences each spring, to expand knowledge, network, and grow stronger community bonds. Conference attendees must be members of ACDA National.
