About the Ensemble
Southern Kentucky Choral Society is open by audition to university students of all majors, as well as faculty, staff, and community members with an interest in choral masterworks with orchestra. Please see the auditions page for more specific audition information. The SOKY Choral Society is a member of Chorus America, the national organization which serves the needs of community choruses. In addition to its own concerts, this ensemble collaborates with The Symphony at WKU each year.
Performances in recent years have included the Requiems of Duruflé, Mozart, Garcia and Fauré, Mozart Mass in C Minor, Bernstein Chichester Psalms, Hagenberg Illuminare, Forrest Jubilate and Requiem, Poulenc Gloria, Haydn Paukenmesse, Brahms Requiem, Vaughan Williams Dona Nobis Pacem, Handel Messiah, Mendelssohn Psalm 42 and Drei Geistliche Lieder and Orff Carmina Burana.
