Residence Halls

Community Style Hall: Students on a residence hall floor share a common bathroom. All bathrooms have private, locking stalls and are cleaned by university staff daily. These halls typically have high engagement and are an excellent space for students to make connections with other students.
Hotel Style Hall: Each room has a private bathroom shared with a roommate. Students are responsible for cleaning their own bathrooms.
Pod Style Hall: Residential units include 2-bed suites. Each pod is comprised of approximately 25 students who share a large community living space, two community restrooms, and two private restrooms. All bathrooms have private, locking stalls and are cleaned by university staff daily. Academic Living Learning Communities are typically housed in pod style halls.
Suite Style Hall: Two rooms are connected by a "Jack and Jill" style bathroom. Students are responsible for cleaning their own bathrooms.
Extended Living: All residence halls close for Thanksgiving break, winter break, and spring break, except for the designated extended living residence halls. Students who live in Pearce Ford Tower for extended living hall must opt-in to winter break housing to remain on campus during any portion of that period, and a $450 housing charge will be assessed to their student account.
Living Learning Communities: Students with similar academic or social interests live together on a residence hall floor and participate in activities tailored to their specific majors or interests. Students must apply for an LLC on their housing application. Learn More

In a Community-Style Hall, student live on a residence hall floor and share a common bathroom. All bathrooms have private, locking stalls and are cleaned by university staff daily. These halls typically have high engagement and are an excellent space for students to make connections with others. Most first-year students will live in a Community-Style or Pod-Style hall to help foster those connections.

Douglas Keen Hall

Douglas Keen Hall is located on the south end of campus in the First Year Village, across from the Nick Denes Baseball Field and next to The Den by Denny's, the PIT Convenience Store, and steps away from the Preston Health & Activities Center and Health Services.

Gilbert Hall

Co-Ed

Gilbert Hall is a four-story residence hall located halfway up the Hill in the highly sought-after green area of campus referred to as "The Valley."

Hugh Poland Hall

All Female

Hugh Poland Hall is located on the south end of campus in the First Year Village, across from the Nick Denes Baseball Field and next to The Den by Denny's, the PIT Convenience Store, and steps away from the Preston Health & Activities Center and Health Services. A large green space is available for students to enjoy.

McCormack Hall

Co-Ed

McCormack Hall is located in the highly sought-after "Valley," conveniently positioned halfway up The Hill between Downing Student Union and the academic village. A large green space is available for students to enjoy.

Minton Hall

Co-Ed | Living Learning Communities

Minton Hall is in a premium location in the center of campus, located steps away from the Downing Student Union and near primary academic building for the Living Learning Communities assigned to this hall.

Pearce Ford Tower

Co-Ed | Extended Living

PFT is co-ed by floor and is located at the south end of campus in the First Year Village near The Den by Denny's, the PIT Convenience Store, the Preston Health & Activities Center, and Health Services. A large green space is available for students to enjoy.

Rodes Harlin Hall

Co-Ed

Rodes-Harlin Hall is located in the highly sought-after "Valley," conveniently positioned halfway up The Hill between Downing Student Union and the academic village. A large green space is available for students to enjoy. Significant renovations including new flooring, paint, furniture, bathroom upgrades and more, are being completed summer 2025. Rodes also houses Honors students (typically freshmen) who do not participate in the Honors Living Learning Community.

In Pod-Style Halls, residential units include 2-bed suites. Each pod is comprised of approximately 25 students who share a large community living space, two community restrooms, and two private restrooms. All bathrooms have private, locking stalls and are cleaned by university staff daily. Academic Living Learning Communities are typically housed in pod style halls.

Normal Hall

Normal Hall is a co-ed, pod-style residence hall that typically houses Living Learning Community students. Located in the First Year Village, this hall has a large green space to enjoy, and is near Health Services, the Preston Health & Activities Center, the Den by Denny's and the PIT Convenience Store.

Regents Hall

Regents Hall is a co-ed, pod-style residence hall that typically houses Living Learning Community students. Located in the First Year Village, this hall has a large green space to enjoy, and is near Health Services, the Preston Health & Activities Center, the Den by Denny's and the PIT Convenience Store.

In a Suite-Style Hall, two rooms are connected by a "Jack and Jill" style bathroom. Students are responsible for cleaning their own bathrooms. These halls have been recently renovated and have large community areas on each floor.

Meredith Hall

Meredith Hall is located in the First Year Village, near a large green area that students can enjoy. Meredith houses students in a Living Learning Community for the 2025-2026 academic year.

Zacharias Hall

Zacharias Hall is located in the First Year Village, near a large green area that students can enjoy. Zacharias houses students in a Living Learning Community for the 2025-2026 academic year.
