Applications for 2025 Alternative Fall Break are now open!
Join WKU Student Activities on an alternative fall break trip to Louisville, KY. Students attending will volunteer in the Louisville community through activities such as building a wheelchair ramp. Students will also visit local sites and events such as the St. James Art Fair and the Jack'O'Lantern Spectacular. Cost to student is $50. All meals, transportation, and lodging are included. Spots are limited, so put best foot forward on your application!
Held during the fall and spring semesters, WKU students are given the opportunity to spend their breaks giving back to various community service projects. Alternative break trips incorporate cultural experiences along with opportunities to volunteer across the region. Past alternative breaks have included trips to Savannah, GA; Charleston, SC; Memphis, TN; Tuscaloosa, AL; Mobile, AL; New Orleans, LA; Washington D.C.; and Chicago, IL. Students are selected on their previous community service work and level of involvement and commitment.
