This interactive workshop helps faculty design classroom experiences that incorporate multiple perspectives and foster respectful dialogue. Participants will practice using the “devil’s advocate” role constructively, explore strategies for de-escalating conflict, and develop ground rules to guide productive disagreement. Through scenarios and role-play, faculty will leave with practical tools to encourage critical thinking, model civil discourse, and create learning environments where multiple viewpoints can be expressed and examined.
