Dates and Deadlines
Specific Dates and Times for 2026:
- Practicum Orientation: Thursday, February 12, 4:00–5:30 PM (virtual)
- Practicum, Internship, and Job Fair with Site Supervisor Panel: Thursday, February 26, 4:00–6:00 PM (virtual)
- Practicum Application Due: March 1
- Practicum Site and Supervision Contract Due: April 15

Yearly Dates and Times:
- Practicum Orientation (required): Second Thursday in February, 3:30–5:00 PM CST (virtual)
- Practicum, Internship, and Job Fair with Site Supervisor Panel: Fourth Thursday in February, 4:00–6:00 PM CST (virtual). While attendance is not required, attending students may learn about and secure potential practicum, internship, or job opportunities. Check email announcements for updates.
- Practicum Application: Due March 1. Approval of application is required before securing a practicum site and completing the Practicum Site and Supervision Contract.
- Practicum Site and Supervision Contract: Due April 15
- Internship Site and Supervision Contract: Due August 5 (if changing sites from Practicum) or January 5 (if changing sites from Internship I)
- Practicum and Internship Portfolio (excluding Hour Logs): Due the Friday before Finals Week
- Final Hour Logs: Due the Wednesday of Finals Week. Students must plan ahead to submit a complete portfolio; missing this deadline may result in a temporary Incomplete in the course.
Supervision Assist
Supervision Assist is a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform that simplifies the management of practicum and internship experiences for students, supervisors, and universities. It serves as a central hub for communication, documentation, and tracking progress, making the practicum and internship process smoother and more organized for everyone involved.
Key Functions for Students:
- Access all required practicum and internship documents in one place, including applications, site and supervision contracts, portfolios, and hour logs.
- Track and log direct and indirect client hours, ensuring accurate documentation for course and accreditation requirements.
- Receive feedback and supervision notes from site supervisors to help improve clinical skills and professional growth.
- View an updated list of previously approved practicum and internship sites to help with site selection.
- Communicate securely with supervisors and faculty about questions or updates regarding placements and requirements.
Getting Started:
- Students are introduced to Supervision Assist during Practicum Orientation and given a step-by-step guide on using the platform.
- Access is granted after Practicum Orientation.
- A one-year subscription must be purchased before starting Practicum, but students should wait until the week prior to Practicum to buy it. The paid version is required for Practicum and Internship, while the free version can be used to complete the application process and secure a site.
- Students submit all required documents through the platform, ensuring everything is organized, secure, and easily accessible.
