Changing/Adding a New Major or Certificate

If you're interested in changing your major, adding a second major, or adding a certificate, follow these steps in TopNet:

  1. Select the "Student Services" tab.
  2. Select "Student Records."
  3. Select "Change Major, Certificate, Minor, Concentration, Advisor.
  4. Review your changes and confirm.
  5. Once you've completed the form, you MUST send the form to the location listed at the bottom. You can do this by selecting "Print" in the browser and saving as a PDF to your device. You can then email the PDF. Or, you may print out the form and hand to your advisor/department chair. The department chair must sign the form for it to be fully processed. We do not have a preference, but we do need these forms to process your major change request.

Note: If you have two or more majors/certificates listed and would like to add more, you will need to contact the Advising and Career Development Center for assistance by phone at (270) 745-5065, by email at academic.advising@wku.edu, or in person at the Downing Student Union (DSU), Suites 2001 and 2141.
