Changing/Adding a New Major or Certificate
If you're interested in changing your major, adding a second major, or adding a certificate, follow these steps in TopNet:
- Select the "Student Services" tab.
- Select "Student Records."
- Select "Change Major, Certificate, Minor, Concentration, Advisor."
- Review your changes and confirm.
- Once you've completed the form, you MUST send the form to the location listed at the bottom. You can do this by selecting "Print" in the browser and saving as a PDF to your device. You can then email the PDF. Or, you may print out the form and hand to your advisor/department chair. The department chair must sign the form for it to be fully processed. We do not have a preference, but we do need these forms to process your major change request.
Note: If you have two or more majors/certificates listed and would like to add more, you will need to contact the Advising and Career Development Center for assistance by phone at (270) 745-5065, by email at academic.advising@wku.edu, or in person at the Downing Student Union (DSU), Suites 2001 and 2141.
