Sr. Vir Patel earned the Secondary Student Technology Award, alumnus William Roach-Barrette earned the Post-Secondary Student Technology Award, and The Gatton Academy earned the Secondary Educational Institution Technology Award along with the LaRue Co.

Meredith Bickett, India Blasser, Sam Booth and Rena Ryumae earned National Security Language Initiative for Youth (NSLI-Y) scholarships for the summer of 2015.

The Class of 2016, took the ACT in March and the scores have now been reported. The juniors recorded an average ACT composite score of a 31.77 on the March test, which is an increase of 1.22 points from their previous average.

Erin Burba, a senior from Paducah, and Amanda White, a junior from Louisville, were recognized at the Louisville Regional Science and Engineering Fair. Rena Ryumae, a senior from Union, won awards at the Science and Engineering Fair of Northern Kentucky.

The selected students represent 39 counties from the Commonwealth of Kentucky and scored an average composite of 30.82 on the ACT and 30.58 on the mathematics portion of the exam.

Seniors Brian Carlson, Ben Guthrie, Paul Hudson, Ben Riley and junior Rohan Deshpande were members of the winning team that will now advance to the National Science Bowl, which will take place in Washington, D.C. on April 30-May 4.

Thirteen seniors from The Carol Martin Gatton Academy of Mathematics and Science in Kentucky have been recognized by two separate organizations for their work in the classroom.
