Spirit Masters Staff

Veronica Butler, is a sophomore from Lexington, KY. She is a first-year Spirit Master and is triple-majoring in International Affairs, Political Science, and Mandarin Chinese, while also pursuing a certificate in Strategic Communications. Veronica is a Gilman scholar in the Chinese Language Flagship program and serves as the chair of the Student Mental Health and Well-being Committee and the Campus Safety and Security Committee within the Student Government Association. Additionally, she serves as the Director of Civic Education for the Hilltoppers Vote Coalition and is a member of the inaugural Downtown Bowling Green Ambassadors Academy cohort.

Veronica is curious about how youth engagement and community building can support democratic resilience. She is conducting research funded by a Faculty Undergraduate Student Engagement (FUSE) grant with Dr. Timothy Rich as part of the International Public Opinion Lab (IPOL). On campus, you can often find her giving tours with the WKU Office of Admissions, getting lost in the stacks at Raymond Cravens Library, or meeting friends for a cup of coffee at Spencer's.
