The department welcomed the award-winning Kentucky Archaeological Survey effective June 1. Since 1995, the Survey has worked with teachers, students, landowners, and government agencies to protect archaeological sites and educate citizens across Kentucky.

Cameron Knight graduated from WKU in December 2005 with a BA in Photojournalism and Anthropology. He was recently part of an investigative team at the Cincinnati Enquirer that was awarded the Pulitzer Prize for their project "Seven Days of Heroin."
