Dr. Mark Ciampa Joins Kentucky Center for Academic Excellence Board

Dr. Mark Ciampa, a Professor of Analytics and Information Systems and the Program Coordinator for the Master of Cybersecurity Data Analytics at the Gordon Ford College of Business at Western Kentucky University, is joining the Board of Directors for the Kentucky Center for Academic Excellence (KY-CAE), with WKU joining as an Institutional Partner. The Kentucky Center for Academic Excellence is a collaborative initiative that empowers Kentucky’s higher education institutions to advance in cybersecurity, digital forensics, and emerging technologies.
In addition, Dr. Ciampa recently delivered a presentation titled “Perspectives on Teaching Artificial Intelligence” to business faculty at Texas State University in San Marcos and the University of Texas at San Antonio.
Dr. Ciampa is a long-standing leader in information systems and cybersecurity education. He previously spent 20 years at Volunteer State Community College, where he served as an Associate Professor and Director of Academic Computing. He has consulted for both industry and government, published more than 25 peer-reviewed articles, and authored 30 technology textbooks. Dr. Ciampa holds a PhD in technology management with a specialization in digital communication systems from Indiana State University and has certifications in security and healthcare.
