The Department of Political Science Welcomes New PLS Professor

The Department of Political Science welcomes our newest faculty member, Teresa Kirby.  Ms. Kirby graduated from WKU with a major in political science and a minor in history.  She attended the University of Kentucky College of Law where she was a member of the National Trial Competition Team.  She has extensive experience in both civil and criminal practice as well as mock trial coaching experience at the high school and college level.  She will be teaching in the Professional Legal Studies program and has been invited to serve as the faculty advisor for the Pre-Law Student Association for the 2025-2026 academic year.

Gatton Academy Envirothon Team Places 11th at International Competition

Five Gatton Academy students traveled to Alberta, Canada to compete in the National Conservation Foundation’s International Envirothon Competition in July. They finished 11th out of 51 teams from the U.S., Canada, and China.
