The May 2025 edition of The Family Child Care Chronicle is all about celebrating Provider Appreciation Day—a special shoutout to the amazing folks who care for kids every day. There’s a sweet poem called “A Second Home” that captures just how much love and care providers give.

The newsletter also encourages providers to host at least one family engagement event each year. Think fun stuff like art shows, potlucks, family dance nights—basically any event that brings families together and supports kids’ learning. They also suggest a cool idea: throwing a “School Birthday Party” at the end of the year to celebrate everything your program has accomplished.
