Welcome to WKU Varsity Esports
The Western Kentucky University Varsity Esports Program is an officially institution-recognized varsity program that proudly showcases our student athletes in collegiate competitions. We compete in the National Association of Collegiate Esports (NACE) Starleague tournaments as well as developer-run tournaments. Our four game titles that we have teams for are League of Legends, Overwatch, Rocket League, and Valorant.
Fall Tryouts
Current WKU student and interested in competing in collegiate esports? We offer scholarships
to those who want to compete on behalf of WKU. We have fall tryouts happening on the
following dates:
Overwatch tryouts (Minimum rank: Platinum)

If chosen to be on the team, we have a guideline of expectations regarding attendance
in tournaments, practices, and other collegiate events.
Important days to keep free from conflict for competitions:
League of Legends - Tuesday and Thursday evenings/Weekend
Overwatch 2 - Monday evenings
Rocket League - Tuesday evenings
Valorant - Wednesday evenings/Weekend

Feb 1st, 2024 The WKU Varsity Esports League of Legends team won a national division championship in the 2023 College League of Legends Fall tournament.... Jan 30th, 2023 In the first week of the 2023 Spring CLOL North conference tournament, the WKU Varsity League of Legends team looks to take on other universities in qualifying for the CLOL championships....
