Lauren Haynes, from Madison, Va., graduated from WKU’s Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing program in August 2020. She recently received the impressive results of her applications to law schools.

Maddie Grider is named Baker Scholar in Horticulture for the second year in a row. Grider is also a Professional Writing and Literature minor. She views her experiences in the minor as invaluable to her agriculture career.

On Saturday, February 13, the WKU English Department hosted an awards ceremony for the fourth annual High School Writing Contests via Zoom. The winners received a cash prize and will receive a scholarship if they major or minor in English at WKU.

The WKU Department of English hosted the 2020 Undergraduate Conference on Literature, Language, and Culture on November 13. After the event, the moderating WKU English MA and MFA students voted on three winning presentations.

The Undergraduate Conference is an opportunity for students to share papers they have written in WKU English classes. MFA and English MA graduate students chose the presenters, moderated the event, and determined the "Best in Conference" presentations.
