Keegan L. Morris Scholarship

Keegan Layne Morris was born September 4, 2000, to Nathan and Diedre Morris. The only son with three sisters, he was well taken care of by all. Keegan was energetic and full of life. He loved being in nature, hiking, and working on the farm. Family was of the utmost importance to him, spending time with his sisters, Ashley and Emily, and his nephews, Jax and Cooper. His golden retriever, Lacey, was often by his side. Keegan had a personal relationship with God and radiated love. Keegan left this world much too young at 23, but lived a beautiful, full life in his short years. He loved to travel, having been to 21 states, with Hawaii being a favorite and Florida a repeat location for many years. He loved hiking mountains and building sandcastles. He enjoyed volunteering at the AMEN House, the local food bank, and helping anyone in his circle.

Keegan was an avid lover of movies. He looked beyond the film into the entire filming process, including filming equipment, producers, actors, and location. One of Keegan’s favorite pastimes was watching films after reading the companion book. Education was important to Keegan, but it was limited for him due to a childhood brain injury. While unable to attend college, he graduated from High School and continued learning through reading, audio sources, and films. Our family is creating this scholarship in Keegan’s memory to help future students continue to create films that add knowledge and entertainment to the world. Keegan lived life with passion and always had a smile. We hope this scholarship will bring joy to the recipient’s life as they follow their passion and path.
