2 WKU faculty members join KYhirED Advisory Board

New KYhirED Advisory Board members are (from left): Dr. Sally Ray, Dr. Daniel Super and Heather Rogers.
The South Central Workforce Development Board, on behalf of the KYhirED scholarship program, announced the addition of three KYhirED Advisory Board members: Dr. Sally Ray, Heather Rogers and Dr. Daniel Super.
“We are thrilled with the addition of these new members to the KYhirED Advisory Board,” said Dr. Robert Boone, President and CEO of the South Central Workforce Development Board. “Each member possesses a unique expertise to help reimagine the next phase of the scholarship to help an even greater numbers of student and employers.”
About the new members:
- Dr. Sally Ray is a WKU Department of Communication faculty member who previously served as WKU Glasgow Regional Chancellor, WKU Communication Department Head and Assistant Dean of WKU Potter College of Arts & Letters.
- Heather Rogers is the Associate Vice President of Institutional Advancement & Executive Director of the Foundation at SKYCTC. Prior to her current role, she served as long-time President of Junior Achievement of South Central Kentucky.
- Dr. Daniel Super, WKU School of Teacher Education, is the Director of the Kelly M. Burch Institute for Transformative Practices in Higher Education. He previously served as the Co-Director of the WKU Center for Literacy.
They join the following KYhirED Advisory Board members: Melissa Aguilar, Will Berry, Dr. Robert Boone, Cornelius Faulkner, Dr. Jim Flynn, Judge-Executive Micheal Hale, Tom Harned, Stacey Hughes, Mike Lovett, George Poling, Rebecca Stone and Senator Mike Wilson.
The South Central Workforce Development Board leads the development and implementation of a highly effective workforce development system in the 10 counties of South Central Kentucky in collaboration with business, economic development, education, and community organizations in the labor market area.
