- Thursday, July 20th, 2017

WKU alumni and friends will celebrate There’s No Place Like Home for Homecoming 2017.
“The theme of There’s No Place Like Home was chosen by a Homecoming committee of alumni, staff and students,” said Ginny Hensley, director of Alumni Engagement, “The Wizard of Oz theme spans all generations, but it also is fun and current. It’s also nice that our new President Timothy C. Caboni has a sense of humor because, President Caboni, we’re not in Kansas anymore.”
The Hilltoppers will face Charlotte in the Homecoming football game Oct. 14 at Houchens Industries-L.T. Smith Stadium; kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m. Festival of Friends tailgating begins at 11 a.m. Additional information will be available on the Alumni Association website.
“Homecoming is a special time on the WKU campus when students, faculty, staff and alumni together show great pride in the WKU Spirit,” Hensley said. “Our goal is to spread that same Spirit throughout the region through our Homecoming festivities.”
