Assistant Provost for Student Success and Online Learning

I am pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Holli Drummond as the new Assistant Provost for Student Success and Online Learning at Western Kentucky University. Dr. Drummond has over two decades of experience as a faculty member, including more than six years as department chair with supervisory responsibility for 30 faculty members. A proven academic leader, she has consistently advanced initiatives aligned with student success—such as Living Learning Communities, peer mentorship programs, and career readiness efforts. Her leadership has also driven innovative advising reforms and the development of new faculty support roles. With experience in online education and a deep commitment to curricular design, Dr. Drummond has been a strong advocate for policies that improve both instructional delivery and student outcomes.
Known for her collaborative and student-centered leadership style, Dr. Drummond is a data-driven decision-maker with expertise in institutional research and analytics platforms such as Visual Analytics. A quantitative sociologist with a nuanced understanding of WKU’s student demographics and institutional landscape, she combines analytical rigor with a vision for innovation in student support and online learning. Her longstanding commitment to WKU, deep cross-campus relationships, and strong record of faculty engagement make her exceptionally well-positioned to lead this important work.
